Lubricating pumps test rig (research)

Manufacturer: Bimal S.r.L

Year: 2007

The rig allows the attainment of steady-state and dynamic characteristics of low power (max 15 kW) pumps and motors in both open and closed circuit mode. The rig is remotely controlled by means of a National Instruments real time system. It is specifically tuned for testing lubricating ICE pumps in a wide temperature and speed range. The load on the pump can be generated by a proportional valve that can be controlled in either open or closed loop. The rig is able to reproduce the operating conditions encountered by the pump under test during a standardized driving cycle in terms of speed, temperature and delivery pressure.
