Hydraulic pumps and motors test rig (research)
Manufacturer: Bimal S.r.L
Year: 2007
The test bench allows the acquisition of steady-state and dynamic characteristics of pumps and motors up to 100 kW of power. It is remotely controlled via a National Instruments real-time system. The layout is a closed-loop circuit. For pump testing, the system is equipped with a boost pump and a fluid recirculation circuit for temperature control. A valve is also included to generate sudden load changes in order to assess the dynamic performance of the pump displacement control. For motor testing, the flow is supplied by the laboratory’s power unit, and the shaft line electric motor acts as a brake, regenerating power back into the electrical grid.
